Snug as a Bug in a Rug!

I've been working on this rug for Lauren's living-room for about a year now, a little here, a little there. This morning, while watching Ethan sleep after a seizure, I finally finished it. The "core" print fabric from which the other colors were chosen is the same as her curtains. It is not readily visible in these photographs, however. This will be a bright spot in the room, and can always double as a heavy blanket, safe from the bed bugs.    :)

My grandmother would make rag rugs when I was young. She would have it throughout the house. When she passed I was hoping that someone would leave just one but they were all gone. I enjoy looking at yours. As for losing a friend, I lost my bestfriend of 32 years to an eating disorder. She was a beautiful Christan person. But before she passed her only son was killed in a car accident. I knew that this would finish her for sure. Even tho she kept her faith in God I still didn't understand why God was allowing this to happen to a strong christan. I prayed and prayed that she would eat. She died in her sleep. She was the sister I never had. Now I am finding that these woman I am asking on my site are someway helping me. Like the rag rug. I am going to have to lean to make them. I love working with my hands. I know you and will probably never meet until Heaven. But just looking at your pictures of your lovely boys. You gift for making rugs has put in me to want to start working with my hands again. You lift me up spiritually. Sharlene Bullen
